* Booking of vessels in and out of the port

* Arranging with the pilot and tugboat services

* Reports to the customs and port authorities about ship's arrival and manifest of the cargoes on board 

   and detailed  information of the cargoes to be handled.

* Provides information of the ship's crew or passengers to the local immigration authority

* Handles ships services and supply and logistics requirements like provision of fuel

* Proper discharging of industrial wastes

* Ship repair and maintenance

* Liaising with stevedores for the safe handling of containers, break bulk and bulk liquids

* Ensuring ship's master's awareness of all shore requirements
