HIGHSPEED 6
HIGHSPEED 6 (ex MILENIUM): A new ride control system consists of transom mounted trim tabs and a new retractable T-foil licated at the aft end of the centrebow. The T-foil retrect out of the water behind the centre bow when not in use.
HIGHSPEED 6 - The past: InCat have recently produced a number of freight carrying fast ferries and the 96-metre MILENIUM is the latest example. The operator has the flexibility to carry cars only, or a mixture of 12 trailers plus 180 cars, or 24 trailers plus 85 cars. Altogether, there are nine hoistable platform units in order to maximise the free height when carrying commercial vehicles.
Still, we are fascinated with the new generation of fast-ferries which are, eventually, turning their attention to the cardeck capacity and comfortable public acommodation rather than endless rows of aeroplane seats.
HIGHSPEED 6 - She is modern, she is well-functioning and she is distincly a ferry for the Grek islands, whether the passengers are hoppers or inhabitants, and whether the car is a tourist car or truck with vegetables.
The new high-speed vessels settled down well and thenks to their excellent car-deck configuration have proven to be real workhorses, operating in the period between 15 March and the end of October.
Greek islanders and tourists are already enjoying sailing on the new ships and memories of their old fashioned predecessors are already fading fast.
Today, the beauty of the Greek islands, with their gorgeous beaches, almost guaranteed sunshine and the crystal-clear waters, is accessible to anyone who chooses Greece for a holiday.
These however, are only small parts of the Greek ferry revolution which the new ships represent. The island of Andros is very famous for its warm hospitality - and this is reflected in the new high standard of onboard service and style.

Now, only a few veterans are left and, in their place, a new generation of purpose-built tonnage has emerged. Many of the new ferries are Austal-built high speed catamarans, which may be fuel hungry, but are very popular with greek passengers, for whom speed is of the essence.

Highspeed 6 wurde in gebaut 2000 bei der INCAT Yards in Tasmanien , Australien als Milenium. Sie trat mit Service Trasmediterránea im Juni 2000 zwischen Barcelona und Palma . Im Jahr 2010 wurde Milenium verkauft griechische Reederei Hellenic Seaways und umbenannt Highspeed 6.
Andros ist von Athen innerhalb von 80 Minuten mit der HSC HIGHSPEED 6 zu erreichen.

Der HSC HALUNDER JET ist mit 52 Meter Länge und 36 Knoten (ca. 67 km/Std) der größte und schnellste Katamaran in der Deutschen Bucht.
Die "Oortkarten" ist im Hamburger Hafen auf der Linie 62 zwischen den Landungsbrücken und Finkewerder eingesetzt. Sie ist das elfte HADAG-Schiff vom sogenannten Typen 2000.
