Bergé yCía. was founded in Bilbao in 1870 as a ship agency and stevedor. It extendedits activity during the 20th century all over Spain, opening offices in majorSpanish ports.

Starting in1979, it began to diversify its business by importing industrial equipment andstarting car distributorships. This process of expanding its business hascaused it to have a presence in areas such as finance, energy, logistics andnew technologies that constitute an important future challenge.
