The company was founded by Mr. B. Maaswinkel, a Bachelor in Maritime Operations from the Nautical University of Amsterdam with over 17 years professional experience in the commercial shipping, super yacht, ocean cruise and river cruise industry. Licensed as a marine integrated officer he started his career as a navigation/safety officer and engineering officer on different type of ships, including cruise liners, and has sailed on all the world's oceans. Ashore he worked as a manager in various key operational, technical and safety management positions for large and well-known international shipping, super yacht and river cruise companies. Dutch Swiss Marine has a long experience in the maritime industry and has gained a wealth of knowledge about the industry best practices and international ship safety, health and environmental regulations. Dutch Swiss Marine is therefore "the" integrated partner to assist with any safety, health or environmental issues on ocean cruise ships, river cruise ships and super yachts and to improve on a safe and sustainable living and working environment in the cruise industry.
