Description : The three short towers were the only triple lighthouses ever erected in the USA. They were replaced by one of the steel twin towers from Chatham in 1923 and sold. In the latter part of the 20th century the National Park Service managed to purchase all three towers and moved them to a site within about 1000m of their original location and restored them although two of the towers are without lanterns.
