This is MSC MERAVIGLIA. She is a cruise ship of 315.83 metres long sailing under the flag of Malta. Built in 2017, this ship was spotted in Kiel, a port city on Germany’s Baltic Sea coast. Did you know that every June, Kiel’s harbour gets really busy as the city hosts its annual “Kiel Week” (or Kiel regatta), the largest sailing event in the world?

Marine Gallery - POLUS 1

Sailing under the Ukraine flag, this fish carrier is POLUS 1. Built in 1988, she is 54.99 metres long and has a deadweight of 474 tonnes. She was spotted in Punta Arenas, a city near the tip of Chile’s southernmost Patagonia region. This area is located on the Strait of Magellan, which is the most important natural passage between the Atlantic and Pacific oceans.

This beautiful yacht is STELLA MARIS. She was built in 2013 and is sailing under the Cayman Islands flag. She is 72 metres long and her gross tonnage is 2114 tonnes. The photo was taken in Rijeka, a Croatian port city on Kvarner Bay in the northern Adriatic Sea, also known as a gateway to Croatia’s islands.

COTINGA is a cargo vessel sailing under the Malta flag. She is just a few months old, 229 metres long and has a gross tonnage of 44113 tonnes. This photo was taken by Rick Voice in Vancouver, Canada. Did you know that the Port of Vancouver trades $43 billion in goods with more than 90 trading economies annually?

This motor tanker is NEMO and is 110 metres long. Sailing under the Germany flag, NEMO was spotted in the Main river in Höchst, a city district of Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Höchst is part of the Ortsbezirk West, hosting important cultural events and attracting a great number of visitors.
