Hanjin ships stuck in limbo

South Korea’s biggest shipping company, Hanjin Shipping has filed for bankruptcy protection, leaving many of its vessels and their cargo stranded at sea.

The line owes hundreds of millions of dollars in unpaid fuel bills, port fees and a variety of other costs.

Ships are being forced to change itinerary, with some unable to dock in port, waiting for Hanjin, its creditors and partners to find solutions in a process that could take weeks if not months.

As the drama unfolds, you can use MarineTraffic to see where Hanjin ships are currently located on the Live Map.
