Coast Guard Redland Bay is staffed entirely by volunteers to provide a marine search and rescue, training, logging and assistance service. In addition to some State Government funding, we raise our funds from interested members of the public including our Marine Assist Contributors, sponsors and fund raising events.

Coast Guard Redland Bay rescues hundreds of boats every year, with problems ranging from mechanical breakdowns to groundings, fires, sinking vessels and medical emergencies. Every boat strikes trouble sooner or later; rescues like these cost Coast Guard Redland Bay hundreds of dollars.

The Australian Volunteer Coast Guard is a totally voluntary service which relies predominantly on the fund raising efforts of its volunteer members to provide this 24/7 service all year round.
