Description : Post light mounted atop a pier head restaurant. There have been two previous piers. The first, a wooden structure, built in 1838 and destroyed by a gale in 1857. The second, an iron pier built in 1864 eventually was destroyed by a mined Dutch ship during WWII in January 1940.
