MarineTraffic AIS Station Operator Contest 2016

This is a competition intended for the AIS Station Operators contributing to the MarineTraffic Network.
All MarineTraffic users are eligible for participation.
The duration of the contest is from March 1st 2016 to January 10th 2017.

Rules

All station IDs registered on MarineTraffic database automatically participate, excluding aggregate feeds, hidden stations and stations operated directly by MarineTraffic employees.

Ranks will be updated every month.

The ranking of each station will be denoted on the station's page on www.marinetraffic.com with the respective badge.

New stations created during the course of the contest can participate as well.

The thread of ranks from Mate to River Master concerns only inland stations. If you believe that your station is competing in the wrong category, please submit a request here.

Stations cannot be eligible for the same prize twice.

Prizes

Prizes are awarded to the following ranks: Petty Officer 1st Class, Rear Admiral, Lieutenant, River Pilot.

Special prizes are awarded to the following ranks: Captain, Fleet Admiral, River Master. Stations achieving those ranks enter separate raffles for the high prizes.

All prizes will be announced during the course of the competition.

Stations cannot be eligible for the same prize twice.
