Firmenbeschreibung

Aquamarine was accredited by the MSQ on behalf of the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA). Our Professional Indemnity (PI) insurance is underwritten by Lloyd's of London. We use a team of naval architects and surveyors in Queensland, other States and Asia. We have experience as consultants to some of the world's largest engineering, mining and EPCM companies. Antony particularly enjoys helping move major project cargo and MWS liaison.

Aquamarine's Principal, Antony Krokowski, is a Registered Professional Engineer in Queensland (RPEQ), comitted to ethically serving the client, whilst ensuring public and product safety. Antony is also an active member of the National Marine Safety Committee (NMSC) Technical Advisory Panel, having been asked to give interpretations on national and international standards.

Antony graduated from UNSW in 1998 with a Bachelor of Engineering (Naval Architecture).

In 2005 Antony graduated from UNSW with Master of Business and Technology, majoring in Risk Management, and including: Project Management, Quality Management, Business Law and Technology, Managing Innovation and Technical Change. Learnings put to good use in establishing Aquamarine in 2006.

Antony's experience for the five years preceding Aquamarine was as Senior Naval Architect for Maritime Safety Queensland (MSQ). Before this he was a Naval Architect for the NSW Waterways Authority (now called NSW Maritime). Antony is well versed in Certificates of Survey and the Protocol for Mutual Recognition for Certificates of Survey.

Antony has been actively involved in Continuous Professional Development with the Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA), Lloyd's Register (LR), the Australasian Institute of Marine Surveyors (AIMS), the International Institute of Marine Surveying (IIMS), Engineers Australia, and the Professionals Australia (previously the Association of Professional Engineers, Scientists and Managers Australia (APESMA)). Antony has been re-appointed to Executive Committee of the RINA Australian Division Council for another term.

Antony delivered a presentation on 'NSCV Stability' to the 2010 IIMS Australasian Conference and has also attended a number of conferences hosted by Composites Australia and the National Marine Safety Committee (NMSC), and as invited speaker at Marine Safety 2003 on 'European Yachts for Commercial Service'.

Antony was a Safety Judge for the Australian Marine Awards (Boat of the Year) for it's last three years. He has also investigated a number of fatal recreational boating tragedies. He has been called as an expert witness in a number of successful cases involving both commercial and recreational vessels.

Before graduating, he also spent time as a slipway hand and sailing instructor and got his Statement of Attainment in Marine Coxswain.   He is a keen offshore sailor and fisherman, and prefers nothing better than spending his spare time "messing about in boats".
